How do I change my business type?

I was an LLC when i first started and now I’ve dissolved my LLC but still have an Tax Id and all. Is there a way to change that on here? Would it hurt if I didn’t change it?

Hi there @SoapyChicks,

Once you create a Square Account you can't change your business type, you would need to open a new account. However, you are able to change your business EIN number if it's a different business. Regarding your address, the only place you can change this is under Account & Setting > Business> Location.

Hey there @SoapyChicks

You're not being rude at all it's always good to cover your bases. In regards to not updating your Tax Payer information to not reflect the changes that you have done with your business could affect you when Tax Season comes by (which is almost here) how it would affect legally that would be something that a Tax advisor would answer but it could affect us with being able to generate a 1099-K for your business if the information we have on file is not 100% accurate.

Hello would someone able to check what I am because I am in the process of becoming a non profit but I may have pull LLC and were wondering if i can change it.
