How do I add a service charge onto a transaction with Square Appointments

I'm unable to add a service charge when checking out with Square Appointments. Is there a setting on the back end that I need to change?

I'm able to see it on Square's 'Point of Sale' app, but not on Square Appointments!

Help please!

Hey there...I use Square Appointments so I may be able to help. You stated you can see it on the “Point of Sale” app but not the Square Appointments.

Under the POS app is it listed under items or services? If not either...you can add the service charge...just name it service charge under item..set and amount and then when you’re checking someone out you can manually add it.

Hello!

On the POS app, "service charges" has its own category under Checkout > Library > Service Charges. It is listed next to gift cards, rewards, etc.

If you create an item titled "Service Charge" do you have to calculate an amount out for every transaction, or can it calculate percentages of a service?

Unfortunately, at this time you would either add fixed rates or you would have to manually calculate the percentage of a service and add it each time...

At this time, it is not possible to add a service charge percentage or dollar amount via Square Appointments. @Duydongtran. You could use the workaround @Stacelyn24 shared above, or submit this as a feature request here.
