Setting tips to 0 not working

I am attempting to set my tips to all 0 to only allow custom tips. I can change it on the app and it shows the amount as 0 but still comes through at the suggested values when I share a request payment link.

Any help would be great!

@Jdent It might be helpful to understand why you want to only allow a custom tip amount? What type or amount of transaction are you looking at?

As Donnie-M mentioned above can we get some more insight into why you are needing all $0 amount tips? And to be clear you were able to set it up as $0, but on the payment link, it doesn't show $0.

Note: Setting your fixed percentage amounts to 0% will only give your customers the ability to enter a custom tip amount https://squ.re/3AiUgK8 .

That is correct that is shoes all zeros on the app. I am a home inspector and have had some clients ask to to however I do not want anyone to feel obligated to have to tip. This odd why I would like a tip option to be there but not have a set amount/percentage shown.

I should be able to set it up to my requested preferences.

I have also attempted to make these changes on the website without success. The minimum percentage I can put is 1. If I attempt to insert a 0, the amount changes to 15.

Oh ok, got it. We understand sometimes it can be awkward asking for a tip.

But you either leave the tips on and have a minimum amount you can set up, the minimum is $1. Or you would need to turn off the tips completely. More insight on tipping is available here, https://squ.re/3AiUgK8 .

I think this is a great suggestion though. You can submit a feature request on our new ideate board, maybe moving forward that option would be available with tipping.

I appreciate the credit but I don’t deserve it. According to your site this is a feature that is already in existence however I can not seem to utilize it.

”Note: If Allow Custom Amounts is enabled and the pre-set amounts are all set to 0%, Square Point of Sale will hide these amounts and display only the Custom Tip Amount and No Tip options.”

I would appreciate assistance with utilizing this feature.
