Unexpected Printer Response Error - Star TSP654 TSP654IISK Printer

Hello,

The Sticky Label printer had been printing fine from the beginning of April 2022. It has recently started having problems showing Unexpected Printer Response on the Square app in our Android Fire Kindle HD 10. It happens here and there. Once I go into the settings of the printer to print a test, it works fine. The printer light is also on with no error displayed.

Anybody has had the same problem? Is there a solution?

I have not come across any threads (recent or old) pertaining to this issue. 🤔 Have you tried checking for any updates for the devices?

I just checked for updates on the Square App and updates on the fire tablet but it seems like they're both up to date right now.

I'm checking the firmware of the printer now

Update: Changing the android tablet to an iPad fixed the issue. So it was a problem with the Square Android APK.
