I am attempting to import my inventory list from an excel format sheet. My columns are: Item Name, Description, SKU, Price, Quantity, Variation Name... all the required fields. Once I hit Import I get an error message:

There are 100 errors in your document. If you need to make any changes, re-import your file.

The Item Library requires that all items have names. Please add an Item Name in row: 2 and try again.

The Item Library requires that all items have names. Please add an Item Name in row: 3 and try again.

The Item Library requires that all items have names. Please add an Item Name in row: 4 and try again.

The Item Library requires that all items have names. Please add an Item Name in row: 5 and try again.

The Item Library requires that all items have names. Please add an Item Name in row: 6 and try again.

YET... I have NAMES all individually named under the Item Name column. Does anyone know why it is doing this or how to fix it so I don't have to manually create my inventory list ??

I figured it out!!! I needed a column in my spreadsheet for the required fields that I didn't have.... SKU, Description, and Variation!! Now it uploaded perfectly!!! Yay!

I'm having a similar issue but it is where Square isn't recognizing that there's an end to my list. I'm uploading 343650 items (yep record and CD store) and the error I am getting is there is no name on line 343651, etc. Any ideas on how to let the uploader know to stop at 343650?

I know your only uploading 343650 items but with a header there would be 343651 rows..... did you check your last row?

Also is all the Required fields entered on that row especially a Name for that item since that is the error you are getting?

Just something that happened to me loading a smaller catalog. Good luck that is a lot of items 🙂
