@diet Try to hold down the button to make sure the lights go orange and then red and it will reset. If it won't light up, try another usb adapter and cord to see if it starts charging then. If the reader is completely dead leave it on the charge for a while. If you are using the square stand try unplugging it and then checking all your connections.

See if any of those help you first.

Hello @diet,

Do you have another usb charger, like a phone charger that you can try plugging into the Contactless Reader? Will it charge with another cable, if so then we do need to replace the USB.
