can square be used for 100% manual price input

First time business, small retail shop. No barcodes will be used, no pick a picture etc. No inventory control.

Items will have a price tag, individual prices get typed in, tax gets added, sale is processed. detailed receipt printed, everytime.

Can this be done without an extra step for manual entry for every sale? For every item?

Can basic cash register functions, be easily accomplished on square stand with IPad or square register?

I believe so. You would have all your inventory listed. Pull up add price and person pay. It is just like mom and pop pick up eatery. They type in what food is ordered with price and we pay. Hope this helps

Think more on the lines of a flea market, estate sale type atmosphere, there will no inventory catalog. Items come and go and are only designated with a price tag. Someone comes in and buys a one of a kind lamp, for 10$, a golf club for 5$, and pizza stone for 3$. no item will have a barcode, be part of any inventory tracking system. They will not be replaced with the same type of thing. Can I just input.

item 1............10.00

item 2..............5.00

item 3..............3.00

and get a subtotal, plus tax, total

Sub............18.00

sales tax.....1.24

Total...........19.24
