Personalization Area Please?

I am having a heck of a time figuring out how a buyer on my site can type in a word(s) they want on an item they purchase from me? It is there own personal words, not one I can choose or list for them to choose from. Please help!

I have a note at the end of check out for right now but its VERY confusing for me and for the customer especially if they are ordering more than one item for personalization.

HI, yes, there is a way to capture text for items. Under Modifiers, +Create New, Typing Text into a Text Box, Text Box Label, Character Limit, check mark box if you wish to make it a required field.

You can have as many as needed on an item. You can see many options on my personalized gifts site below.

Thank you for your quick response. I am still having problems. I have gone to modifiers and added. At the top I typed in what I want the box to say. And lower I typed in the max # of characters. But when I save and then go check it, its there but it will only allow the customer to check mark in the box not "add" their own text.

I hope that makes sense?

Any more help would be appreciated. Obviously not tech savvy here. I can paint like nobody's business and create but put on a website to create im a mess. lol.

Took awhile for me to figure this out too. I read your question and seen that it was in the online store only. Unfortunately, I think that it should be in both places as I have a need to for notes on items as well sometimes (ex: monogram initials or name)

Yes for each item.... 150 characters like it is online.

HI, a text box is created in Modifiers.

Hi! The modifiers aren't working anymore. I had them working previously and now it won't give a box. Our previous items are, but not new ones. Even when I save and copy. Anyone have a work around?

This seems to be gone now under modifier sets. Can we get an update on this since its been changed

You have to go to Online, then to the item listing itself, then to the item's modifiers. It's stupid but that's the only way you can do it.
