Holdin cc deposits?

so Square is holding all my credit card deposits from the last three days that I sent through yesterday. my local community has been stressing that they have been doing it for no reason and been holding them for a while and that in the contract it says they are able to do.
in the economy it can only cripple a business, but actually cause it to close or be evicted.

Hey there @Llafrey. The last three days? So, Friday, Saturday and Sunday? That is how weekend deposits work. All of our deposits go through the national automated clearing house, which does not move money on weekends. So Square makes all deposits for Friday - Sunday on Sunday night/Monday morning. Depending on your bank’s deposit policies, those should be posted to your account either today or tomorrow. Whoever told you that there is “no reason” for this either doesn’t understand banking or hasn’t been with a card company very long. This is standard operating procedure, at least until Congress decides to actually do something work and expand the ACH policies.
