You can but it isn't advisable. If you give cashback to a customer you can't refund the in Square because it has to go to the originating card. So it will look like a sale still and be income and taxable, plus you will be out the money. So now the person getting the refund can get cashback from you and then file a dispute with their credit card company saying they haven't been refunded.

Now, will a person do this, probably 90% not likely, but There are a lot of people out there looking to scam.

Square gave me a c ase number - number72188312 - This is the 3rd time I have been told the merchant has been notified that i am looking for my product. Nothing has been done - no product nor has my money been refunded.

I want my money back and the merchant to be reported as a scammer if what i am being told is correct. Other wise it looks like square is scamming me too.

He was with his girlfriend they both received their merchandise I sent you their credit cards and their drivers license. Now, why would they give me all that if they didn’t get their merchandise merchandise was handed them on the spot Bluetooth speakers motorcycle 12 V for children.

All I want is my Square to get working I am missing money and there’s a lot of other money owed to me by Square so if you have to give this guy back his money, I would rather lose 600 and some dollars then keep losing money daily and not get the other money that it’s cleared to buy more products. Just get this thing over one way or another. I’ll be happy thank you.
