Square for Retail - importing purchase order

We are new to Square for Retail - trying to import a new purchase order. Received error message - We could not find the item from row 10 in your catalog. Add the item or variation to your item library then try again.

There isn't anything in row 10 - its a very small order (only 6 rows) as we were just trying it out. Plus, most of the items are not in the library since this is the first time we are ordering them.

What are we missing?

Thanks for your help! Any other hints, tips would be greatly appreciated.
