Sales report by day by hour

I need a report that will show me during a time period, what the sales are by hour every day of the week. For example, after 8pm on Mondays, we are slow and can close. Or Saturday mornings between 10 and 11 am no one comes in so we don't need to open that early. Or in the evenings on Friday we have a ton of sales and we should put more people on the floor. Does that make sense? Can someone help me find this report? Thanks!

@FlightTeam I do not know of such a Square report. When I need to analyze things like that, I have a spreadsheet that I download the Transactions CSV into. It then summarizes the number of transactions per day/hour and also the gross sales. I’m attaching a few screen shots, based upon my previous week sales, but any date range of transactions could be exported from Square into this. If you are interested, I can share the actual spreadsheet file. My file is Apple Numbers format, but I could export it into Excel. I could also send you detailed instructions about how to use it, unless you are a spreadsheet geek like me. LOL. All the best.

Of course. First I’d like to ask a couple of questions so I know how detailed to be.

1) Do you know how to view the Transactions List from your online dashboard, as well as how to export a CSV?

2) What computer do you use? I use an iPad Pro, but I was a computer geek in a former life so I can talk any of the platforms.

3) How familiar are you with spreadsheets, spreadsheet formulae, and so on?

After that, I’ll upload a template of my spreadsheet with instructions in it.

@TheRealChipA HI there! I am not sure if you all closed the loop on the above instructions, but this would be very helpful for me!

1) I do know how to use transactions and export a CSV

2) I use a MacBook Pro

3) I am not fantastic at Excel or Sheets, but with some instructions I can handle it
