multiple payments in a transaction

Hello!
So on square retail POS. I had a patron purchase items over $100. They had 2 Visa gift cards (25$ each) they wanted to use, then their own bank card.

I split the payments into 3 but it said it would split it into 3 even payments. Which wouldn't work for the amount. It would not let me edit the amount, it would only do even. Was this just a fluke? or can they not use more than 2 methods of payment per transaction?

I am using the Square Stand and Square for Retail. To Split the Transaction like you want, where the $0.00 amount is that is Greyed out like you can not enter anything there you can tap that and enter $25.00 run that transaction then tap there again and Enter $25.00, then repeat for the final amount. It is confusing since Square gives you split into 1, 2, 3, 4, or CUSTOM.... but the Custom ends up being a custom amount of Equal splits. This messes me up every time I have to do a Split Transaction as you described. or even if the person has a custom amount on a Gift card from the local Resorts and has $XX.XX remaining to use but the bill is over that amount. I wish the wording was better on that screen for Custom Amounts!
