Tax Exemption rule for by customer

We have a Square register and are using Square for Retail Plus.

We are a feed store and have a lot of customers that are farm exempt or tax exempt. We keep a tax exempt form on file for those customers and then want to be able to have it saved so that when we create a sale for these customers and add their name to the ticket it removes the tax.

I see that we can set tax rules but it is only for items or dollar amounts. I would like to be able to set a tax rule to be exempt by customer. Is it possible to add that as an option?

I'm not sure you can do what you have in mind. Perhaps others here may have some thoughts. Else, you can submit your concerns as a Feature Request here.

Unfortunately that isn't an option currently, but could definitely be useful.
