Recording non Square payments

Hey folks. With my Square android app I can tell Square that I've received cash. Is there a way to add other payment options, like Venmo or Zelle, just for the purpose of tracking sales?

I don't believe there is an option for what you would like to do. A possible work around - you could treat as Check and use the Option Note text box to show it was Venmo or Zelle. Just a thought of course. Sounds like a possible Feature Request to a new Category.

That's what I was thinking, but I cannot test that theory/method until someone pays that way (or I create a mock sale)

... additionally, I don't usually know how they're paying until that moment so I'd have to go back in the process to add the note

Apparently in the Settings|Checkout|Payment types is Other Payment Types. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.
