Hi @AmericanDandD. First, welcome to Square. I wish you well as you start your business.

Square has a third party App Marketplace that you should check out. It has loads of apps created by third party developers who want to intergrate with Square to extend its functionality. As far accounting apps that actually import daily sales, etc, there are a few — QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Xero and OneUp. There is also an app like GetLinked and Synder that are not accounting apps, but that do facilitate the transfer of various Square data into various accounting software. I’d recommend looking them over, going to their websites, and maybe even getting a free trial or two to see which you like.

Accounting software is highly personal. For myself, I detest QuickBooks and always will. Of the four accounting apps I mentioned that actually import Square data directly, I consider FreshBooks and Xero to be superior in every way, but that’s just me. If you have an accountant, I’d definitely recommend that you talk to them first to see if they have preferences, since you’ll be working with them so closely over the years. For the record, I don’t use any of these. I use Zoho Books. I love all Zoho software and their accounting software I find to be flexible and superior, though it does not import Square data. Yes, I have to make a manual sales journal entry every day, but to me it is worth it.

Let me know if you have any questions as you look things over.
