Hiding Unit Cost on Purchase Orders

It would be great to hide the unit cost on the purchase orders if you do not want staff to see the unit cost. I feel the margin is personal information and its not needed for all staff to see it. Can this be added to permissions? Is this already a feature and I am not seeing it? Has anyone got a work around for this?

Hi @Savant,

I believe you're specifically referring to the “View unit cost” permission within the Items section of a permission set. At this time, Square doesn’t support the ability to hide or restrict access to unit costs when viewing purchase orders, even if that specific permission is disabled.

We’ve included a brief explanation under that permission in the Team Permissions settings, which I’ll screenshot for you below.

So to confirm, you’re not missing anything. This functionality just isn’t currently supported. That said, I’ll absolutely pass your feedback along to our Product Team for future consideration.

I have a vendor that does want his staff seeing what I pay him for the product. I NEED a way to hide the unit costs immediately.

I can zero out the cost but then when I receive the PO it does not increase my inventory cost.

Please fix this and let me know when it is completed.
