    <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm having this same problem for Pizzas. We want to restrict customers online to a specific set of ingredients, while allowing them more flexibility to order in store. I've spent 12 hours creating modifier sets for the online store (hiding specific ones depending on the pizza) only to see that there's no way to hide those on the POS. So now, as&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/761730"&gt;@PokeFreshOhio&lt;/a&gt; states, my employees need to page through a bunch of modifications that I have no intention of offering to my in store customers. The issue with creating a specific online item is pretty obvious. Any time you add an item, you're adding two and any time you are changing an item you are adding two. I completely regret signing a contract with Square. This is ridiculous!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I’m trying to look for a workaround for what seems like a pretty simple problem, but I’m starting to think that Square somehow doesn’t offer a way to fix it. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I have a build-your-own bowl, fast casual. This week, for the first time, I set up my Square storefront included in my $49/month restaurant plus package. This now allows me to have customers order direct through that site, which flows directly into my square POS. The first thing I noticed, was that customers were able to click on a bowl, but it didn’t give them the option to make any choices as to what went on the bowl. Which is obviously a big problem. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I figured out that I needed to add modifiers to each item. So I went in and added eight different modifier sections, and linked those to the corresponding menu. Refreshed the online ordering page and BAM! It was fixed. Easy enough. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I then went up front and tried to cash out my first customer of the day in-store, and now my in-store POS is forcing me to make all the same required modifier choices as if I were ordering via the website. It literally WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO CASH SOMEONE OUT until I make all the modifier choices. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;No worries. I just need to disable modifiers requirements for the in-store POS. Except apparently that’s not something square supports? I hit up their chat bot and the only suggestion they had was to pay an additional $49/month for a separate account I could dedicate to my in-store POS. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;Umm. No. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I find it very hard to believe that there’s not a workaround for this. You want me to believe a company like square, who hosts tens of thousands of fast-casuals, doesn’t have a way to simply disable modifiers on the POS? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;Am I missing something here? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey there&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/761730"&gt;@PokeFreshOhio&lt;/a&gt;.. If I'm understanding you correctly, when customers buy in the store, they are actually building their own bowls and your team is just ringing up the price of a bowl -- no matter what was in it. &amp;nbsp;Is that right?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If so, this is probably as simple as creating a new item called "In-store Bowl" (or something like that). &amp;nbsp;Employees ring that one in and collect payment. &amp;nbsp;Just remember that when you create the new item, you should mark it as not available in your online store. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a reason this won't work for you just as easily?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;so in store they just pay for a bowl, no picking what they want? &amp;nbsp;Then I would create a different item for instore bowl vs the online bowl as they seem to be serving 2 different needs. &amp;nbsp;personally even if you had to pick the items for in store I would have them be different items for easier sales tracking.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/761730"&gt;@PokeFreshOhio&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/82775"&gt;@Beth&lt;/a&gt;, while this is not exactly disabling a modifier, you can now specify the individual channel where you want your modifier set to appear — whether that's across all channel or just in-store&amp;nbsp;(Point of Sale), online, through your delivery apps or kiosk.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So what would be really helpful is to have a toggle to say “turn off a modifier on the POS” like you do for online. There’s nothing “new” in what you are describing. It existed when this was an issue and it still exists. Square needs a better development team or a smarter AI bot.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
