thread Selling a "need to order" item in POS in Orders, Menu Items, Catalog & Fulfilment

While the vast majority of our brick store POS sales are "in stock" items, we regularly make sales for items we need to bring in for a customer.

The item does exist in POS, or we quickly create one, but has zero inventory.

The problem we have is that Square sets the order as completed and hands it off to our inventory system (skuvault). Skuvault receives a completed order but, in reality, one or more items in that order are not completed at all. Since the item still needs to be ordered and delivered to the customer.

What we need is a way to mark that specific to order item as open instead of completed.

Is there a way to do this in Square?

Thanks

Pat
