Off-cycle payroll run for exiting employees

We run off-cycle payroll every month. I need to pay two employees their final check on an interim day of the month, and Square is not allowing me to do this, with the message, "Your payroll run is late and you cannot run an off-cycle payroll until you pay your employees."

This has never happened before. How can I pay these exiting employees?

Hi there @TheArcBC,

The error message "Your payroll run is late and you cannot run an off-cycle payroll until you pay your employees" appears when your regular payroll run is overdue. Square Payroll requires that you complete your regular payroll run before processing any off-cycle payroll payments. This ensures all scheduled payments are made on time before any additional payments are processed.

To resolve this issue, complete your pending regular payroll run. Once your employees have been paid, you should be able to process an off-cycle payroll payment without encountering this error.
