Updating the default vendor and unit cost for items using Python SDK

I'm attempting to update the default vendor for new items and the unit cost for either new or existing items or item variations programmatically using the Python SDK.

Does anyone know if it's possible to do this? Thanks.

Hi @TowneStore !

I am not too familiar with the public APIs but I did find this information

With Square’s public APIs (and therefore the Python SDK), you can’t programmatically set or update (a) an item’s “default vendor” the way Square Retail shows it, or (b) the “unit cost” field that appears in the Dashboard/Retail purchase order workflows.

I'm not sure if any other Sellers will jump in here with their insights but you could always pop over to the Developer's forum and see if they have any insight as well.

I'm sorry I can't be of too much assistance on this one!
