      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my store we reference stock in other locations alot. When we wrote the Item number, we would see all the variants. But when we write the SKU, it would show us variants matching to the SKU. Now with the new update, it would show all variants of the item the SKU is connected to and does not limit it to the specific variation with the searched SKU.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For example:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Item: Shirt&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Variation 1: Pink, Small&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Variation 1 SKU: SHIRTPKSM&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I wrote/ scanned SHIRT in search bar I would see all SKUs start with SHIRT. If I wrote SHIRTPKSM, I would only see that variant and I would just click on it to add to cart.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now if I scanned SHIRTPKSM, I would see Shirt as the item, I would need to click on it to expand and scroll through all variants to find the Variant I want to click on it and add to cart. Which is much more time consuming.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to have it to the previous way? scanning now no longer works for this reason.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/725078"&gt;@BKH&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/335851"&gt;@MayaP&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I type in the SKU of a Variation in the Search field on the checkout Screen on my Square Stand my result is of 2 things :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The Item with How any Variations of that Item&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The actual Variation of the item with the Variation name and the SKU I typed in&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now with my Bluetooth connection I have to tap the Search field then Scan the item :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I get 3 choices to tap this could be because I have the same SKU in for this item 2 times&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Item with number of variations 2 times with amount of variations 2 and 9 (which is why I think I have it duplicated)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I also get the Variation to choose from 1 time.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Currently I am not at the store to test this with a USB Scanner to the Ipad with a Square Stand and do not know if this would be the sae with a wired connection to the Stand.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am not sure which Hardware or how your scanner is connected to your hardware but this also is dependent on how Square reacts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I connect a Scanner by USB to my Stands I just would scan the Item in the Checkout tab and the Ite or Variation would automatically populate.&amp;nbsp; When I connect by Bluetooth fro the checkout screen I would have to Tap the Search field first.&amp;nbsp; But I only tested this and never charged this way as I usually used the Bluetooth method for Inventory and Looking up Items not as a Point of Sale.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So which Hardware are you using?&amp;nbsp; I am on a Square stand&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How is your Scanner connected to your Device (POS) ?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Bluetooth or USB&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How did your system use to work with the Scanner?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Asking the last Question as you mention taping the Search Field and Typing in the SKU not Scanning it.&amp;nbsp; These two methods do work differently.&amp;nbsp; When typing in a SKU, Square starts to populate all items matching what is or contains what is typed so far.&amp;nbsp; Scanning would only populate the Item matching what is scanned.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Aha...&amp;nbsp; I think I found a workaround...&amp;nbsp; If I go to Checkout and instead of searching all items, I first click on "Items" and then do the search, it still comes up with the overall name of the item, but when I click on it, it adds the correct (individual) item to the cart.&amp;nbsp; It only seems to do this under the "Items" tab.&amp;nbsp; I hope that helps others.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Any update on this? This makes the checkout and inventory process SO clunky and frustrating. I purposely gave each variation it's own SKU to streamline the checkout process and now I have to scroll through variations to find the one I want even though I typed in the exact matching SKU! Unbelievably frustrating!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
