Hey y'all! I am trying to keep certain items from being discounted by employees

We have a consignment program and none of these locally made items are availible for any discount, ever.

Is there any way to make individual items or categories "undiscountable"? We are also looking to block new gift cards from receiving discounts.

Unfortunately we have found an employee running a gift card discount scam for the last 6 months. They buy the gift card with the employee discount, give to a friend and then use the employee discount AGAIN when redeeming. We have changed the employee discounts so they require a manager code.

I was hoping to find a "toggle" button on specific items or categories that we can select to keep them from being discounted entirely.

From what I can see, what you have in mind is not a feature. Basically if you have a Discount enabled - it's available. You can submit a Feature Request for future consideration - if there's enough demand for the same suggestion, Square will do an evaluation - there's no guarantees and the process does take time. It's possible there's a Developer who could custom code what you need but, that's beyond the scope of this Community. Square does have a Developer Forum. Perhaps another volunteer Community Member has a work around as things are always fluid here.
