Can barcode labels be made to automatically scan and add the customer to a sale?

I'm creating plastic business cards for customers and would like to create a label similar to inventory labels, but instead stick them to the back of the points card that's unique to each customer.

This way, I don't have to ask for their information each time and can just scan their card with the replaceable barcode sticker on the back which would add that customer to the sale.
