Bulk Edit Age Restriction

I have a convenience store and we sell alcohol and tobacco. I want to set all the relevant items to be age restricted but i dont see a bulk option on dashboard nor is there a field for it in the export file. This is like 3500+ items that i cant really do them individually it would take forever. Can square please add the field to the export file? Or make it so we can apply the restrictions on a category level?

I just looked on my Export XLSX file and was unable to locate this in the Item tab or other sheets that are included with the Excel export and not just the csv catalog tab. I agree this would be a great feature in the csv excel and dashbaord Bulk Edit Screen.

Hi folks - I'm happy to report that Age restriction is available in Bulk Edit on your Square Dashboard.

The "Age restriction" column is not shown on default, so it's necessary to go into the Attributes menu to select it.

Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Items & orders > Items > Item Library.
Check the box next to each item you want to edit age restrictions on.
Click Edit items.
Click Attributes. Scroll down to find Age restriction and select it.
Now the Age restriction column will display in the table and you can select from the following options:
- None
- Buyer must be 18+
- Buyer must be 19+
- Buyer must be 21+
- Any custom restrictions you have previously created
To apply one age restriction to all items, click on the Age restriction column header which will select the whole column
Select the desired restriction from one of the dropdown cells which will then apply it across the whole column
Once all changes have been made, click Update variations to save changes.

I see that this information could be better explained in our Support Center and I will get that updated. Also please note that there is separately an attribute called IsAlcoholic that is specific to online delivery sales.

Hi I have over 250 items that need age restriction and it doesn’t let me select it all
