Setting items as unavailable

Is there a way to set an item as unavailable from square register?

We use restaurant plus. I can see in the team permissions section and the ability to turn on 'items', but I don't want the team to be able to change items names, prices etc too! Any help would be greatly apprciated!

With Team Permissions and Custom Permissions, with 'Items' enabled, team members will have the ability to create, edit and delete items, categories, modifiers and discounts for all locations as well as manage gift cards.

There is no way to disable editing the item if that particular permission is enabled.

With regard to marking an item as unavailable, you can now 86 an item with Square for Restaurants free so that food or drink items that are unavailable cannot be ordered online and there is a warning prior to adding to tickets in-house.
