Kiosk ask for table number

Hi all

We've just started using Square Kiosk which on the whole is great, but we operate a table number system like McDonald's where the customer can pick up a table number at the kiosk.

Is there any way to change the request for customers name to the table number?

At the moment we've had to add 'select table number' as a product but it's very clunky and over half of customers don't do it - then we can't find where to take the order to.

Hi @brekkiegroup 🙂 welcome to the Seller Community!

I looked into this and currently, Square Kiosk doesn't have a native feature for table numbers in place of customer names, but we can pass this along our product teams.

This is a relatively new feature so we're always building on feedback and requests like this. If there are any updates, I'll let you know here.

Is there any updates in regard to adding numbers to the kiosk?

We also operate as above and it makes it really difficult to efficiently find customers

It's really frustrating - no further on. It's such a basic thing to have on a kiosk.

The inability to even print receipts is annoying - although we've found workarounds for that to print them from the main till and have a LAN printer by the kiosks.

I've already started looking at alternative suppliers now when you also factor you can't manage any ingredients on Square - it's a bit of a challenging system - Flipdish are cheaper than Square and just tick all the boxes without the workarounds.
