we have one member of staff with poor vision, is it possible to set a terminal or a mode with larger font size?

Hi @60minuteman, thank you for your post. Welcome to the Seller Community! This is a great question.

You are able to turn on magnification on your Square Terminal. To do so, please follow these few steps:

1. From your Square Terminal, tap "More" > then select "Settings" > finally click "Hardware".

2. Tap "Accessibility" > toggle Magnification to "On."

Once this is enabled, your staff member should be able to triple-tap on the Square Terminal screen to zoom in closer.
