App crashing when trying to to open a ticket

There is an open ticket, which has been closed off but it is still showing up. When I try to open it, the app crashes. I have 5 Ipads and it happens on all of them

I have quit out of the app, turned the ipad off and on again, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, updated the app and ipad. I have done everything that is suggested on this community but still no luck...

Help!

Hey there @Aoife, welcome to the Seller Community!

Can I ask a few questions please...

Which app? (Square POS, Square for Restaurants, Square Invoices...)

Which version of iOS is running on the iPads?

Which model of iPad are you running the app on?

Have you tried the same actions on an android device? If so what was the outcome?

Do you have excessive background app usage?

Does the device have plenty of storage?

Does this happen when trying to load things in other apps?

These could all be factors causing app crashes.

I'll await a reply which I can hopefully use to pass on more information.

We are using square for restaurants. We are running iOS 14.6 and have updated the square app but still no luck.

I have tried deleting the table on the back office but as soon as i put it back on, it still shows the ticket open and it will crash when i try to open it.

We have plenty of storage and we only run 2 other apps on the ipad. It happens to all 5 of my ipads.

Thank you for writing in, and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with Square for Restaurants after going through these troubleshooting steps!

Can you try voiding the open ticket causing the app to crash? If you're experiencing this in the Restaurants app, I'd suggest trying to see the open ticket on the standard point of sale app, and close it there.

I cant even get into the ticket to try and void it. It crashes as soon as I try open it
