Subsidised tab

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way that a subsidized tab can be set up? For example the host would like to put $1000 dollars onto a subsidized tab and guest pay $5 for each beer and the host pays the remaining $4 from the $9 total cost of said beer. Is there a way a running total could be set up in POS?

Hi @MadMonkeyDist , That's a fairly specific use case. I'm not sure how popular that would be. Currently Square doesn't support Bar tabs in AU. There was a Beta in the US, I'm not sure of the outcome. I think the rollout of these types of features varies geo to geo because of the financial compliance type requirements of things like pre-authorisations.

You can do a bar tab running total under tickets (not prepaid), just not splitting it with a part payment and remainder going onto tab .
