When I open the Square Retail app on my tablet, I can see the 'Stock Counts' tab under the inventory section, but on my Square Register device, I see three sections: 'Stock Overview,' 'Purchase Orders,' and 'Metrics' under the same section. Where did the 'Stock Counts' section disappear to on the Square Register?

this could be a difference in the operating system interfaces between Ipad and the OS on the register. I only have Ipads and Android phones tablets to compare with. On the Ipads I can see Stock Counts but not on my Android. The Android apps do not have the Square for Retail app but only the Square Pos app. On an Ipad I can choose if I want to install Square Pos or Square for Retail, both of which have slightly different screens because Square for retail is a Paid feature where the POS is a free software with less features. Why both of these are not available on a Android system I am not sure of, but maybe its something similar with you going from an Ipad to a register. On an Android for my custom settings at the bar on the bottom I do not have Inventory which is there on my Ipads.

Hello, thank you for your response. However, I don’t actually use any Android devices. The issue is with Square's own Square Register device. I was previously able to see the Stock Count section within the Inventory, but now it’s missing. I don’t experience this issue on my iPad's Square Retail app, where everything works fine. It seems like the Stock Count section has suddenly disappeared from Square Register. I am using the latest version of the app.

You can only do stock counts on iOs devices. It's a huge drag. I wish I knew this before we got the square register instead of just doing an ipad with the stand. It would've been much cheaper and it would've had more functionality. I was told by someone from square they are working on being able to do stock counts on the register but I have no idea when that'll be rolled out. Currently you can only do it on iphones and ipads.
