How to sell two sizes of the same soup?

I know this has to be easy, and I'm totally missing it....
I want to sell a small 8 oz soup for $5 and a large 16 oz soup for $8. I only have 1 pot of the soup, so I want both items to pull from the same inventory.

I looked at adding a modifier, but they want a separate stock available. How can I do this effectively? Thanks!

Just adding.... I am trying to set up my online store, so people do not have to call in to place an order. I want the soup to show out of stock on my online store when we are out.

We are a new curbside pick up / lunch only restaurant. (: Thanks again!

Thank you for the reply. I tried setting up the soup in that way, and it wanted the customer to enter the amount of ounces that they wanted. I'd like to give 2 options.... an 8 oz and 16 oz. Is there a way to do this? Thanks again!

Hmmm. I guess you could create one item called soup, and then have the variation be 'small' and 'large', then weigh them at the time of the sale. Would that work @CurbsideCafe?

Thank you for the idea. (: We only want to have two sizes 8oz and 16oz. If we sell it by the oz in the system, the customer then picks out how many ounces that they want. We just want them to have the 8 and 16 options. We may just have to sell small and large, and we can just quickly remove it from the website when we run low?

I want to do the same thing. Two sizes, 2 oz and 8 oz (no selection other than size by customer). Both sizes come out of the same bulk quantity and inventory is tracked appropriately including low stock alert. I do not see an appropriate way to do this.

I have heard from the moderating community that this is not an option at this time. The moderator that reached out to me told me that he would elevate it to the product development team because he could see how this would be a great feature. So, for now, we wait until the feature is developed. We also sell tamales in different plating options. I also want to use this feature to track my tamales no matter what type of meal they are ordered with. I hope this feature comes soon... (:
