thread Force customer name on each ticket in Orders, Menu Items, Catalog & Fulfilment

I just got off the phone with a Square rep. We need the customer name on every ticket, and the option to do that currently exists - but it's not required and when we get busy we sometimes miss the name. I'd like to have the option to "force" the cashier to enter a name before the ticket is sent to the printer. According to the rep, this option doesn't currently exist. Does anyone else have this issue, or a solution?

Hi @lgmbts the representative is right. This is currently a feature request to force the name to be filled out. I can see how useful this could be to sellers who require the information for orders, so I will also share the feedback with my development team.

I'd like to 2nd this request. As we transition from carry-out only and have modified our order/pickup flow it has become more important to have names on the tickets. I'd really like to see this be an option to remove the ability to skip the request for a name on the ticket. Granted, an employee could simply put "garbage" in the ticket name but then that becomes a different issue 😉
