Remove “Cancel payment” button on tip screen

I use the square stand at our shop. When we process a credit card payment, we flip the screen so the customer can add a tip and signature.

We walk away and prepare the customers order as they’re tipping and signing. Its sometimes awkward to stand there as customer is tipping.

We came across a customer who had clicked “cancel payment” and therefore we did not receive payment. Is there a way to remove the cancel payment button from the top left of the tip/signature screen?

Hi hi @Perrydubs - sorry to see trouble has brought you to the Seller Community!

It's not possible to remove the Cancel Payment option from the checkout screen. The reason is because if it were too be removed, you would have no way or backing out of or cancelling a payment in the event that a customer changed their mind (or some other reason). Instead, we recommend training your staff to recognize a successfully completed payment screen to avoid situations like the one you've described here. I hope this resource helps!
