Our Square for Restaurants Product Team got back to me and let me know that this feature is not currently planned, but it is on their radar as a feature request.

I agree! I moved from Square for Retail to Square for Restaurants this year for the Inventory Management and KDS features and my business has almost daily changes to the Modifiers as well as Items. The Retail version let us change the modifiers, but Restaurants does not, makes it very difficult.

this is dumb there is no "light" option. why does square care what we put on conversational modifiers. Second Day setting up menu and i could see so many simple improvements. dont know who the product team is but they should know better.

let us add to/customize the Conversational Modifiers - Light, On the Side, Heavy, Allergic to are a few that spring to mind. It doesn't affect functionality in the system, it is just a list, so please let us modify 🙂
