I would realllllly love to have Square reports break down Check payments specifically. Currently it just lumps it all into "Other". I happen to use several different Other payment options since I take advance deposits for events and need a way to apply those funds towards an event bill on the event date so the Other payments section gets really convoluted. It means I have to export a report and then sift through it to get the appropriate amounts every month for my accountant.

Can't we list Check payments as its own category? And for that matter, it would be nice to be able to configure other payments methods and have them listed separately on the reports, eg Deposit Redeem, Accounts Receivable, etc.

I also would like this feature, CUSTOM other's that can be tracked and searched independently would be great.

Example uses for me:

Etransfer - Someone sends me an Interac - electronic funds transfer -- It's not cash in my float, but it is cash in my account just not my cash register

Uber - Track monies owed by Uber Eats (We don't have integration) who delivers for us for a commission

DoorDash - Track monies owed by DoorDash (Square doesnt support integration with Square for Retail Plus for some reason, if it does and you are on the team that supports this please reach out) who delivers for us for a commission

Corner Shop - Another Uber platform that delivers for us for a commission
