How do you currently handle "combos" in Square for Restaurants ?

Greetings!

Since Square does not have a way for us to create/build "combos" from existing items (ie, "Burger Combo" - Burger, Fries, Drink; $9.99) how are you all handling this? Do you just manually ring up the items that would make up the combo (ie, Burger, Fries, Drink) and have a "make combo" discount button? Is there a better way?

Also, I have a feature request out there to "make combos" if anyone want to take a look 😉

@BistroSupport I totally agree this is a bundling type feature request/auto discount/etc....item that needs to be worked on. I currently have an item called "Make it a combo" that lists as modifiers all of my drink/side options. The problem for me now is using square KDS I can't really use the all day counts to help my team. Also, we have moved to starting to use barcode scanners for retail bottle drinks and it is an issue not having individual items and using modifiers so heavily.

I am getting ready to move more towards just having the discount on purchase of side and drink, but I would love a nested modifier option. My problem is that the online ordering, this is tough to go through and pick items and then go back and pick sides and add drinks, I think we miss out on suggestive selling at that point.

We've created a created a feature request for "create combo functionality". It was updated to "OPEN" by the Square team which means they are looking at it closer and looking for feedback/use cases from others. You can find the request below....
