Square Native Kiosk mode

We know about the scan and pay way to order but most people would rather just used an actual kiosk to pay.
why is it so hard for Square to catch up to toast in this regard.... Square already has its own app ... i am pretty sure it wont be rocket science to just add a kisok mode to the original app?

is Square even considering this thing?

i know Kiosk buddy exists but i am asking if there is any plans for Square to have a NATIVE app instead of 3rd party.
