Is there a way to change the tip suggestions to be based on the total bill prior to discounts or gift card payments?

Hi @lostdruid. Currently, there is not. If you want to, you can submit a feature request to the Restaurants Team. They’ll review it and let you know their decision. Be sure to be very specific in that request about why you want this, why it is something that other sellers would want as an option, etc. Good luck.

Apparently those of us who want smart tip buttons to be based on total check amount and not the discounted amount (after discounts or gift card) have to like and state our case on the post linked below for this feature request to be considered:

@Stanley If you want your post to be seen by the community at large and have a better chance of getting more upvotes/likes, it would be much better to start your own thread and re-post it. Only people who are interested in the topic of this thread (which is different from your topic) will see it. Give it a compelling title too, something like “Please vote/like this feature request about smart tip amounts!”
