If that does not work you may need to call Square support, their number is in my signature line. Just be sure your POS is fully up to date and Printers are supported by Square. Those are 2 things they will ask to help with trouble shooting. Square POS is at 6.40.1 I believe now. Also make sure your operating system is also up to date. If any of those are not upto date or not supported it will be a quick way for Support to blame that for the issue, or ask you to do the update and call back.

Hello!

I am using square for restaurants, and for weeks all my printer functions kept resetting, sending food to the bar printer , and vice versa. All my items are properly routed. I've test this multiple times. Does anyone know if there's a setting that prevents this from happening? It just seems very odd that all preset functions will cancel out because of a fluctuation in the wifi. I hope someone has some solutions. Thank you so much!

@Jouvertkitchen ;

Do you have your printers set up with a Static IP address or just using HDCP? I am assuming HDCP where the router just assigns random addresses to the printers. To help eliminate this in your router settings set the static address for each Printer.

For example if the power glitches and you have 2 printers say Printer 1 and Printer 2. With the Router set to HDCP, whichever printer reboots first will get one address, and the 2 printer may get the next, now this is all random and can change which could be why printers are gettting the wrong print assignments.
