@Marcopoloalso have not sold different "units" pulling from the same inventory, but the workaround I'd try is this: divide your largest amount you'd sell (I'd guess a whole bottle), and then section that off my lowest amount (maybe 8 ounces??, whatever a glass might be). But in doing this you'd have to ring up multiples of that 8oz, to get your half bottle, full bottle, etc. You may be able to setup a shortcut key on your POS to auto apply these multiples.

The trickiest thing is customer education on why the POS might display the purchase in this manner. And I think you'd have to enter your inventory by that lowest amount of quantity (8 oz) and not by the bottle.

I want the simplest way to track wine inventory on Square, I sell wines by the glass /by the half glass, and bottle. online and in the restaurant. What would be the easiest way to achieve this? The only way I see it is by using unit tracking and percentage or volume. for 1/2 glass or 1 glass. Does this work? Does anyone have a structure that has worked for them ?

We don't currently use Square for inventorying wine and this is a tricky question based on whole bottles and glass pours coming from the same inventory pool. I'm not quite sure how to reconcile that in Square but maybe another restauranteur has a strategy that works.
