Track Inventory in Stock Room vs Floor

We are using Square for Retail and would like to track stock for inventory at one location across the stock room and on the floor. It looks like currently we would have to setup a 2nd "Location" to track items in the stock room and pay another $60 a month.

Is there another way to do this so we can see total numbers of stock in the store but see how much should be on the floor and what is in the stock room?

@RTC Thanks for your question and sorry for the delay! I had to check with one of our Retail specialists on this, and they confirmed this is currently a feature request. Sorry to be the bearer of not so good news...

I did pass this along to the team, though. If something like this ever does become available, we'll be sure to update the Community!

I am shocked this is not and a warehouse option yet!! People have been asking for this since 2017.

I am in desperate need of this option!!

I need to be able to transfer in and out of one location. There is no retail sales whatsoever just storage/overstock.

Has there been an update on this thread? I am also in need to putting items into storage/warehouse. I refuse to pay $60/month for a second location since there is no commerce happening there.

I can confirm we do not have any warehouse options at this time, and Square for Retail Plus is billed per location.

I understand that finding a cost-effective solution for storage and warehouse is essential - if we have any updates here we will let you know on this thread.

As a work around I use Square for my retail location and use another system for Internet sales (WebSite). In my Description area I have added the Storage location for my items so I can find them quickly. Using my method Square Tracks Total Inventory but not counts for Retail Shelf and for Inventory. I have submitted an Ideate for this awhile ago for 'Bin' Locations and have no update from Square on this feature.
