I’m curious how other Square sellers handle this.

If a business or corporate customer asks for the invoice as a PDF attachment instead of the standard Square invoice link:

How often does this happen for you, roughly in the last 30 days?

What steps do you currently do manually?

Roughly how many minutes does it take per invoice?

What type of customers usually require it?

Does the customer specifically require Square’s official downloaded PDF, or would a PDF containing the same invoice number, customer details, line items, tax, total, and due date be acceptable?

I’d be interested to hear how others handle this.

We have a curated email that we use and attach the requested pdf to it with the additional link as an option. These clients are often paying by check. The total time is about 2-4 minutes from start to finish. (including the time of opening up my email and finding the template and filling in the appropriate blanks... subject invoice # ????? you requested Dear [name of client]. Maybe additional nicety like it was great talking with you (if they called and requested).

Go to invoice - download pdf save to desktop for easier attaching to email - attach to curated template email with proper subject(invoice # .... you requested) and send.

Sometimes I will email pdf invoices that have yet to be "viewed" to increase the speed to which I get paid.

Easy Breezy. Have a great day
