We'd like to invite you to an online event with Jack Dorsey, co-founder and CEO of Square, and Mark Barnett, President of Mastercard, Europe on Tuesday 8th September. The event will take place from 16.30 to 17.30 as part of this year’s Virtual London Tech Week,

8,000 miles from London lie the Falkland Islands, a remote and beautiful archipelago where penguins outnumber humans by more than 100:1. With a burgeoning tourist economy and small business community, locals and visitors to this beautiful island community have traditionally transacted in cash. Join us for the launch of ‘Connecting the Falklands’, an innovative new partnership that has brought card payments to the Falklands’ businesses, many for the first time ever.

Hosted by Ade Adeptian MBE, you’ll hear from Jack Dorsey; Mark Barnett, President of Mastercard, Europe; Timothy Waggott, Financial Secretary of the Falkland Islands Government; and Bluff Cove, the very first sellers who used Square in the Falkland Islands. We’re excited to share the journey we’ve been on and bring the Falklands to you.
