I actually like this idea! Square already has Product Updates, the Feature Log, and the Feedback Hub, but I think having dedicated sections for unexpected changes and recurring bugs could still be really helpful. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether something is a new update or an actual issue. Having everything organized in one place would definitely make troubleshooting easier for us sellers!

Suggestion: Dedicated Forum Sections for Changes and Bugs

I’ve been a Square user and active in these forums for about three years. During that time, I’ve noticed that many of the same questions, issues, and frustrations come up repeatedly, particularly around unexpected product changes, bugs, and support.

I appreciate the work the community representatives do in helping bridge the gap between users and Square. With that in mind, I’d like to suggest two ideas that might improve information sharing and make life a little easier for everyone.

1) “Changes” Forum Section

Square’s apps and interfaces change regularly, and many of these changes are not announced. It would be useful to have a dedicated section where users could share changes they’ve noticed.

This wouldn’t replace Square’s official product updates provided by @tranguyen but would complement them with user observations of these otherwise undocumented/unannounced changes.

Posts could follow a simple format:

- Device, application, and version

- Brief description of the change

- Optional screenshot

The goal would be to create an easy-to-reference record rather than another lengthy discussion forum.

2) “Bugs” Forum Section

I’m a little less certain about this suggestion, since ideally bugs should be reported directly to Square Support to resolve. However, given the number of recurring issues discussed here regarding difficulties with the support process, and what appears to be a disinterest in addressing some of these bugs, a community-maintained reference could be valuable.

Users could document issues they’ve encountered, helping others identify known problems and find possible workarounds without having to rediscover everything themselves.

Again, a simple posting format would help:

- Device, application, and version

- Description of the issue and steps to reproduce it

- Impact on the user

- Optional screenshot, where relevant

Responses could focus on confirming that others experience the same issue through an upvote), and sharing any known workarounds, rather than lengthy discussions.

The overall idea is simply to make useful information easier to find, reduce repeated troubleshooting, and improve the experience for both users and the community team.

I’d be interested to hear whether others think either of these sections would be useful, or have suggestions for improving the idea.
