thread How to do email marketing WITHOUT loyalty program in Customer Engagement

We want to send out email newsletters but the qr signup info from square is weird. Once you make the sign “join our newsletter” with the $5 off coupon, the QR code takes you to our INACTIVE LOYALTY PROGRAM which we aren’t running and aren’t interested in using. We offer an in-store analog rewards program. Is there anyway to collect emails without square promoting a loyalty program that doesn’t exist? We can put additional info on the sign ip QR code saying the loyalty program is a shameless fake marketing tactic from square and you’ll only be receiving emails about events and new stuff…but id rather not have to do all this confusing stuff for customers.
I’ve emailed square, no response given, and chatted with the totally useless bots that are giving out incorrect or straight up nonsense answers.
