Create a coupon for all item variations

In Square Online, my store carries cell phone cases. Each case design is a single product, and every phone model is listed as a variation. Previously (before the coupon function moving to Square Marketing) I could apply a percentage off to a single product, and it would apply to all variations of that product, and the coupon function worked correctly.

Now, under Square Marketing, I have to select that product, and individually include each phone model (which can be up to 50+ variations) in the coupon. Even after doing this, I go to test the discount and find that it works sporadically, sometimes applying the correct percentage reduction, and sometimes applying nothing at all.

Is this a bug or is there a certain way to apply all product variations when creating a coupon?

In our experience we will do coupons off an entire category! Do you have items in categories? Then it should work on everything no matter the variation 🙂
