Force Payment with Contract Signature

I'm trying to migrate my event contract/payment workflow from docusign/Stripe to Square and I'm having an issue. My guess is there is no work around for this but here goes anyway...

When I send a contract with a payment, it's generally assumed that the payment is a required part of the signature process. With Square contracts however, it looks like they can sign the contract without making the payment. There should be a way to require payment before they've signed the contract. It would be nice to also force the same order when an invoice is attached to the contract. Just attaching the invoice to a contract seems unnecessarily vague.

Please let me know if I'm missing something.

At this time, you are absolutely correct and are not missing anything. This is actually considered a feature request for Square Contracts. I recommend that when you have a moment you submit an official feature request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
