thread send contracts to confirmed appointments only? in Customer Engagement

Is it possible to require payment on contracts that send automatically through appointments? or to only send the contract upon accepting the appointment instead of booking?

I'm setting up a contract that I want to use to take deposits on Appointments automatically. This is because I want to have a consultation with clients who book before I accept or decline their appointment, and want the option to send them a contract with a deposit payment attached. I currently have clients book a $0 request, and change it post consultation to whatever service we agreed on. I'd like to send the contract when I add the confirmed services to the appointment, or accept the appointment ideally.

I see the option to make a contract template and set that template to auto send when a client books a service, but the templates I can attach to appointments dont appear to have payment options.

For instance, it would be ideal if I could set a fixed amount for a deposit applied to service, and have it automatically deduct from the cost of the service that was booked.

Is this something that's possible but I'm overlooking, or is it a feature I should request? thank you
