    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the Square POS for retail machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the past (not sure when things changed), I was able to collect customer emails during the checkout process. This feature was free and allowed me to build up a customer database for those customers who were interested in receiving emails from my store.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, it looks like Square no longer offers this feature for free. Rather, you have to subscribe to the Loyalty program to get this feature.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone else notice this change? Or, am I missing something and the settings for this feature is just tucked away and I cannot find it?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If this feature has, in fact, become a for-pay feature, I will be truly disappointed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/139216"&gt;@plastercarousel&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scott I am not sure which App you have installed on your Square Pos system.&amp;nbsp; I use the Square Stand with Ipad integration, and in the past I used the Square for Retail Free version.&amp;nbsp; If I add items to the Cart there is a button in the Top Right to add a customer.&amp;nbsp; When I tab that I can choose an exsisting customer or Create a New customer.&amp;nbsp; To add a New customer, you would press Add Customer to sale then a Pop up appears that you can search for the customer or select a current customer by scrolling.&amp;nbsp; To add a new customer you press the + button on the right of the Pop up Screen. I am not sure if this is available with Square POS or if you need at least the free version of Square for Retail.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is more about Square for Retail and their 3 versions to compare.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://squareup.com/us/en/point-of-sale/retail/pricing" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;point-of-sale/retail/pricing&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Under Customer Management section there is a check that you can Create Customer Profiles.&amp;nbsp; Maybe an update changed the look or wording for this with your POS system.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
